EAU CLAIRE CITY-COUNTY TOURNAMENT - AUGUST 19, 2008 Eau Claire's final tournament of the year, participated in exclusively by club members, used a one-point handicap format. Six-person classes, A-C, pitched 50 shoes while eight-person Class D pitched 40-shoe games. Gert Wilcziek survived a loss to her husband Ron to claim first place in Class A with a 4-1 record & 80.5 ringer percentage. Ron Wilcziek took second at 4-1 & 51.5%. In Class B, new club member Dean Chaffee won all five games & threw 38% to take first, followed by the venerable Rob Rehm, 4-1 & 33%. Lonny Trangsrud smothered the competition in Class C, winning all five games & throwing 46.4%. Stub Hazen claimed second place at 3-2, 32.8%. Randy Ganther ran the table in Class D, going 7-0 at 7.9%. Caryn Davis claimed second at 6-1, 3.3% while Rod Ganther took third at 4-3, 9.2%.
